Day 1

I've decided to blog about my journey to get healthy. I've been really down in the dumps about myself and the way I look. I've lost sight as to what is important and that it's not ok to eat myself happy. I need to do this reality check for myself. A way to check in besides doing the My Fitness Pal which is really helpful for me in tracking my exercise and my calorie intake. It's nice that it's private about your weight and what your calories are, but I feel like I need to be more accountable and honest with myself so I've decided to blog. I'm going to post my REAL weight, take pictures as I go, and type when I've had good and bad days as I make a go of it. It's no fun to be the 'fat' girl among your friends. I'd like to be the curvy, in shape girl instead! I realize that people don't consider me as being over weight and that I look fine. But when random strangers start asking you at the grocery store when your baby is due, enough is enough!! It's time to stop eating those cookies, sitting on the couch and get up and move!

According to my BMI I'm at 27.2 which is overweight for my height and body type. I weigh 168lbs and wear a size 12 in women's and a 13/14 in juniors. I would like to see myself in a size 10 and weigh 155lbs in a matter of months. Here goes nothing!
